Four-person primary school

Mr Xu Zhenguang exercising with his three pupils during a break at a primary school in south- western China's Guangxi region yesterday.

Only three children are attending the School of Siliu Village in Rongshui county, where Mr Xu is the sole teacher.

The other children in the area have moved, together with their migrant-worker parents, in recent years to towns and cities where the adults could find jobs more easily.

Mr Xu, who has been a teacher for 37 years, is sticking to his job at the four-person school.
